EASY ACCESS TO THE INTERNATIONAL LABOUR MARKET

Businesses in rural areas often have trouble finding qualified personnel. E-government improves access to the labour market in the Baltic Sea region and beyond while reducing obstacles to the employment and integration of foreign workers. EGOPRISE is therefore setting up a Service Centre as a supplement to EURES and similar job portals in order to help small businesses recruit staff. This Centre will be integrated into existing structures, such as chambers of industry and commerce. After companies have been surveyed, a process analysis of public service providers will be conducted. Building on the outcome, EGOPRISE will develop a prototype model. Following its introduction in a pilot region, the project members will draw up recommendations for other regions.
