Modern information and communications technology is essential for efficient, user-friendly e-government. It enables companies to access the information and services provided by public authorities at any time and from any place in the Baltic Sea region. Setting up in business locations in another country in the region is much easier as a result. EGOPRISE is carrying out extensive surveys of businesses and public authorities and will use the results to recommend technical and organisational improvements in workflows that will be implemented in pilot regions. Trans-national business registration is a key issue in this connection. E-government training courses will be provided for public authority personnel and end users.
